Bring in the Spring with seventeen fabulous Rutland Gardens to explore from March through to September.
These inspiring Rutland gardens to visit in 2023 are part of the National Open Garden Scheme.
The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,500 exceptional private gardens in England, Wales, Northern Ireland ad the Channel Islands. It raises money for some of the UK’s best-loved nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake. Their beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
Visitors will be able to enjoy exploring these gardens, which provide a great and affordable day out in the Rutland countryside for all ages. The inspiring Rutland Gardens to visit in 2023 begins opening on Sunday 26th March.
Gunthorpe Hall will provide visitors with breathtaking views and fabulous swathes of daffodils – opening from 2-5 pm.
From 23 April – visitors to Quaintree Hall in Braunston will be able to walk around their established garden with its formal box parterre, and walled garden with interesting spring flowers.
There’s also the popular village group opening in Manton on Sunday 4th June where six varied gardens will be opening their gates to visitors. Homemade teas will be available in the Village Hall.
Later in September, another of the inspiring Rutland gardens to visit in 2023 is Exton Hall. Opening their extensive park, with specimen trees, lake and woodland walks for everyone to enjoy.
Admission ranges from £5 to £7, with children free, with all proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme to fund nursing and healthcare charities.
