Ready, Steady, Cook: Mini Chefs Create Charity Pizza to Raise Dough for LOROS

Children create pizzas to raise money for LOROS

Year six pupils at Ketton School, Oakham, paid a visit to Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa to create a special pizza to raise money for LOROS.

The pizza made by the Ketton School pupils will be sold in Rutland Hall Hotel’s onsite restaurant, Blossom Restaurant and will raise money for a local charity, LOROS.

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa organised the visit as part of Rutland Food & Drink Week. They donned their chefs’ hats, had a briefing from Blossoms’ Executive Head Chef, Sumit Chakrabarty, and were put to work creating their pizzas!

Once all the creations had been made, cooked and taste-tested, the winning team was selected. Emma and Maya created the winning pizza. It was a smiley face and called The Emoji!

The Emoji Pizza will be on the Blossoms Restaurant menu from 1st – 31st October. Priced at £14.50. £1 from every pizza sold will be donated to Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa’s charity partner, LOROS – a local hospice offering care to terminally ill patients, their families and carers.
