What’s in store for Spring/Summer 2023 in Coventry?
Kicking off the season is the acclaimed stage version of the nation’s favourite movie. The Shawshank Redemption runs on the Main Stage from 6 – 11 March.
Mojisola Adebayo’s Family Tree then has its world premiere in the B2 auditorium. Running from 11 – 18 March,. Co-produced with Actors Touring Company. Directed by ATC’s Artistic Director, Matthew Xia, Family Tree is a powerful and poetic drama exploring race, health, the environment and the incredible legacy of one of the most influential Black women of modern times, Henrietta Lacks.
Coming to Belgrade Theatre’s Spring/Summer 2023 is a firm musical classic. Musical fans will love Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers which runs from 28 March – 1 April. The epic tale of Liverpool life tells the moving story of twin boys separated at birth, and later reunited by a twist of fate and the mother’s haunting secret.
Christy Lefteri’s The Beekeeper of Aleppo makes its way to the stage from 23 – 27 May. Based on the best-selling novel, this compassionate and beautiful play tells a story of connection – between friends, families and strangers.
